When you use CamCharts to analyze study material, you may upload or capture images and other study-related content. This content may be stored so that the application can provide features such as My Files, quizzes, flashcards, flowcharts, and generated study materials.
Generated Content
CamCharts may store generated quizzes, flashcards, flowcharts, presentations, forms, spreadsheets, and related information so that you can access your generated materials.
Google Account Information
If you choose to connect a Google account, CamCharts requests the Google permissions displayed during Google's authorization process. Depending on the features you use, these permissions may allow CamCharts to create or manage files such as Google Slides presentations, Google Forms, and Google Sheets through your Google account.
CamCharts does not request access to your Google account unless you choose to connect your account.
2. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Process uploaded study material.
- Generate quizzes, flashcards, flowcharts, and other study materials.
- Save and display your generated files and study materials.
- Create Google Slides, Forms, and Sheets when you request those features.
- Send account-related emails, including password-reset messages.
- Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the service.
3. Third-Party Services
CamCharts uses third-party services to provide certain functionality. Information submitted through relevant features may be processed by these providers according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Google services are used for features such as Google Slides, Google Forms, and Google Sheets. If you connect Google, the permissions requested by CamCharts are shown during Google's authorization process.
Google Gemini
CamCharts may send relevant study material and prompts to Google's Gemini services to generate educational content.
Stability AI
CamCharts may use Stability AI to generate images used in certain generated study materials or presentations.
Resend
CamCharts may use Resend to deliver account-related email messages, such as password-reset emails.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Google OAuth and Your Google Data
When you connect your Google account, Google displays the permissions requested by CamCharts before authorization. We use the resulting authorization only to provide the Google features you request.
You can revoke CamCharts's access to your Google account through your Google Account settings.
5. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information stored by CamCharts. These measures may include access controls, HTTPS encryption during transmission, authentication controls, and protection of application credentials and API keys.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain account information and generated content for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounts, and meet legitimate operational requirements.
Uploaded files and generated materials may remain in your account until you delete them or request deletion, depending on the features available in the application.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your CamCharts account and associated personal information by contacting us.
When an account deletion request is received, we will take reasonable steps to delete associated information, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
CamCharts is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to the service in a manner that violates applicable law, please contact us.
